First saw him in TVs Terminator spin off "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" in 2008... and KNEW it but chalked it up to wishful thinking. Then he was in Gregg Araki's "Kaboom".. and figured i was right.
He came out in 2017 after TV producer Bryan Fuller unknowingly outed him (Fuller thought he was already out).

R18 Chad Kimball once came on to me really strong! We had known each other casually for a few years prior to that night. We ran into each other at an event and he was all over me. I was really confused since before that night we were just casual acquaintances. In hindsight I should have gone for it. It was out of town and I had a hotel room too. Damn.

When I was a wee lad, my parents took me on my birthday to see my first play--"Mr. Roberts," at Shady Grove Music Fair (it was still a tent at the time. The star was Hugh O'Brian, who had a big TV show at the time, "Wyatt Earp." Somehow, after the show, my folks got us backstage, and they cornered Mr. O'Brian and he signed my program.
I came away with something more than the signature. I was six, at the most, but, somehow, I had this feeling like I had encountered another alien invader from whatever planet I was from. I never was a fan of his or had any kind of crush, and pretty much forgot about him.

This is a soap one. There was an actor named Chris Bernau who played this ruthless womanizer type on Guiding Light. I was watching Dark Shadows and he shows up in the Leviathan Storyline in the late 60s married to this sexy sultry character. He couldn't contain the gay. I thought he was going to fly off the screen. Dark Shadows was no stranger to gay actors, but that dude just couldn't hide it.

I first knew about Dekker in The Sarah Connor Chronicles and I hadn't pegged him as gay then.
Did someone else invest on some celebrity's gayness out of wishful thinking, and then it turned out that he was really gay?
I clicked on Victor Garber's Wikipedia page to see if he was gay after I watched him on 30 Rock. I saw him first on Titanic, but I was a kid and of course had no gaydar then. But when I saw on Wikipedia that he was indeed out as gay, it surprised me as I only checked the page out of wishful thinking. He was such a handsome and seductive silver fox in the episode.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | January 2, 2022 9:01 PM |
I think famous womanizers did the gay as a palate-cleanser between the main courses of pussy galore. So this includes Valentino, Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin, Mickey Rooney (yes!), Clark Gable, Hugh Hefner, Bob Fosse, etc. Something about having a lot of wives suggests you get bored, need more variety, so a gay snack seems natural.
